Have you tried tapping in to local skill guides and groups? I have a listing in our village skills directory (paper) and on the local web site. These are both free. I also put cards in local shop windows and small posters on noticeboards in the nearby village hall etc. There are also national web sites where you can get a free listing, or a small ad for a fee. They include yell.com, http://www.thomsonlocal.com/ and upmystreet.com There are also a couple of furnishing fabric shops nearby who need to outsource work from time to time. I get a lot of my work by word of mouth - I currently have 2 children at primary school so have lots of friends in the playground. Estate agents may also have newspapers or newsletters they send to potential customers - you might be able to place an ad in them. It is also free to register on the UK Curtain Makers Directory at http://www.uk-curtain-makers.co.uk/ Good luck............
