Horizontal seam in Roman Shade

I am making Roman blinds with striped upholstery fabric. Since upholstery fabric is meant to be railroaded, the strip is parallel to the bolt. The fabric is 60 in. wide. I need a 62 in drop. Is it best to try to hide the piecing seam in a dowel pocket seam? I'm thinking I should place it near the top and make sure my cornice drop is long enough to hide it... Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Terri
