The usual advice is to dust and wipe with a damp cloth regularly. If you have specific marks then you could try an upholstery/fabric cleaner (try it somewhere inconspicuous first to make sure there isn't a mark left) - don't get it too wet or rub hard. If the weave of the fabric is tight then try pressing sticky tape over the marks and gently pulling it off to lift the stain. I have a tub of cleaner called White Wizard which gets all sorts of marks off - you rub it in with a dry white cloth (lint free) then lift if off with the same cloth but damp. I bought mine from Lakeland http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!8988 or they may have a shop near you. I think other places like Robert Dyas sell it too.
