Pinch pleat curtains will look fine on your pole. You simply calculate the width of flat curtain you require to the length of your pole, then divide it into 'pleats' and 'spaces'. Making the pleats is the final stage in constructing the curtain. To do this effectively you need good instructions so I would recommend you find a book with the calculations explained in a way you understand. Also, pin out the pleats to make sure they work before starting. The instruction CD to buy on this site has good instructions, or a book called Encyclopaedia of Curtains by Merrick & Day. You could probably borrow this from your library if you didn't want to buy.
