Pelmet board in angled bay window

I'm about to make pelmet boards to fit an unusual bay window with two angles (not 90 degrees), and am anxious about accurately measuring to ensure they fit. What is the best way to do this (I was planning on using the silent gliss guide for angled track measurements) and what is the neatest way of joining the boards? Also, would you recommend covering or painting the boards as the client has asked for them to be covered but I usually paint them. Any advice gratefully received!
