Natasha, I too have been making Roman Blinds for years and have never had to go back to replace cords, and I also use the locking system. If however I were called back after a year I would have to charge for the labour and / or replacement, as I would advise that it is normal wear and tear depending on how much the blind is lowered and raised. After all, it is cord and not wire, and the customer will have to understand that. Point out that it is the recommended cord used for blinds. anything else would stretch. Or, if you are having this trouble a lot, perhaps you could initially supply them with spare cord and show them how to replace them. Good luck.
