roman blind window measurements

Hi, I had already posted once and decided to make a roman blind to fit in the recess of the window. Unfortunately, our windows are not completely straight. One window measures 151 cm at the top and then 151.5 in the middle and bottom and my other window is 152cm at the top and bottom 153 cm in the middle. Can I still make the roman blinds to sit inside the window or do I need to fit them on the outside. I wanted to make a stiff pelmet to go with them and it was recommended that they would look best with the blind sitting in the recess of the window. The woman at the shop said it wouldn't look right and light would come through. I just wanted to get some second opinions as I was hoping to use all the wall space for a flat screen television. Thanks a lot
